Equally important will be to press ahead with the Doha round of WTO trade talks, and to follow through with past commitments regarding aid to Africa.

What we need to do now is to demonstrate our political will to move forward in terms of implementation of the commitments taken in the past.

With a few notable exceptions, many Development Assistance Committee countries had reduced their official development assistance (ODA) over the past few years and were not meeting their commitments.
