Final declaration issued by the Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council at its eighteenth special session

At the 12th meeting, on 30 June, the President of the Council opened discussion on the ministerial review of progress in the implementation of the 2003 ministerial declaration of the Council.

The Federal Provincial Territorial Ministerial Council on Social Policy Renewal (the Council) conducted a review of the SUFA in 2003.

In Latin America, UN Habitat has participated in meetings of a ministerial council for housing.

We request UNEP and the Governing Council Global Ministerial Environment Forum to take the following actions

Provisional agenda, date and venue of future sessions of the Governing Council Global Ministerial Environment Forum

Furthermore, we also endorse the proposal for periodic meetings of the Council at the ministerial level.

Key bodies are the re established Ministerial Cooperation Council on Police Matters and the Police Steering Board.

Documents outlining the outcomes of these meetings are available to the Governing Council Global Ministerial Environment Forum.

Recalling further decision SS.VII 1 of 15 February 2002 of the Governing Council Global Ministerial Environment Forum,

There are also questions concerning the feasibility of broader ministerial participation in the Council apos s work.

I therefore favour the proposal that periodic sessions of the Council be held at the ministerial level.

The Ministerial Council expressed its thanks to the Government of Belgium for hosting the fourth session of the Joint Ministerial Council and for the facilities which it has provided to open a permanent GCC mission to the European Community at Brussels.

The Government comprises 32 ministerial and 4 deputy ministerial posts.

One ministerial secretary general and four ministerial cabinet heads were women.
