Two P 3 posts for Finance Officers in the Peacekeeping Accounts Division

Activities under this subprogramme are carried out by the Peace keeping Finance Division.

The Office comprises the Logistics Support Division and the Administrative Support Division, which includes the Finance Management and Support Service and the Personnel Management and Support Service.

57. BFA will comprise the Division of Finance, the Division for Administration and Information Services, the Office of Budget and Management (OBM) and the Inter Agency Procurement and Services Office.

The Urban Economy and Finance Branch within the Monitoring and Research Division conducts research on policies and strategies in urban planning, economic development, poverty eradication, and municipal and housing finance systems.

14.1 The Human Resources Management and Finance Division is headed by a Chief, who is accountable to the Executive Secretary.

Against this background, two additional Budget Finance Officer posts (P 3) are necessary to strengthen the capacity of the Division.

On further investigation, it was found that some certifying officers were misinterpreting the guidance issued by the Division of Finance.

The finance division reviews all submissions to ensure that all documents have been provided before it approves the budget in Atlas.

Administrative Framework The main administrative machinery in Pakistan in the economic sphere consists of the Ministry of Finance and the Planning Division.

(c) A special service agreement was also prepared to hire a consultant for the Finance and Accounts Department of the Supply Division, Copenhagen.

The Division consists of three organizational units, namely, the Budget and Finance Section, the Human Resources Services Section and the United Nations Health Care Centre.

This emphasis continued in 1992, as the British Development Division in the Caribbean took steps to finance a promotional and regulatory project for the sector.

13. The Director of the Division for Finance, Personnel, and Administration (DFPA) provided additional information pertaining to documents DP 1993 36 and DP 1993 63.

The Committee was informed that within this Division the Finance Management and Support Service is responsible for policy coordination, strategic planning and statistics and data management.

The Division of Administration has been using performance indicators for a number of years to assess and report on the management of finance, human resources and administrative processes.

The Budget Division of the Finance Department will again provide guidance on results based budgeting for purposes of the preparation of the budget for the biennium 2008 2009.
