The present note addresses the following issues

We are also pleased to note that environmental issues are included.

To facilitate the discussions, the UNCTAD secretariat is preparing an issues note on FDI statistics data compilation and policy issues.

Finally, the note lists some issues that the Commission may wish to address.

The issues that arise in this respect parallel those in Section Two, Part II, item (A) of this note.

We note that these issues came up for discussion during the recent General Conference.

In addition, we note that a proposal for a similar conference on migration issues has been discussed pursuant to General Assembly resolution 48 113.

The General Assembly is requested to take note of the legacy issues related to the Tribunals.

2. Takes note with appreciation of the report of the Executive Director on emerging environmental issues

Such issues will be highlighted in the note by the Secretariat for the Open ended Working Group.

The lists of issues were transmitted to the permanent missions of the States concerned with a note requesting written answers to the issues raised in the list, if possible, before 5 August 2004.

To facilitate the deliberations, the Commission will have before it an issues note on emerging FDI from developing countries.
