Anti Terrorism Act, 1997

The Combating of Rape Act (Act 8 of 2000) came into force in Namibia in June 2000.

The act of terrorism as well as its finance was specifically criminalised under the 2002 Anti Terrorism Act.

(d) The careful constitutional scrutiny of the powers conferred by the Anti Terrorism Act 2001

Financing of terrorism may be punished as contribution to the commission of a terrorist act.

In Anti Terrorism Act, following sections specifically deal with the terrorist financing and money laundering.

Section 6(2)(e) Kidnapping for ransom, hostage taking or hijacking as act of terrorism
