Guyana is not a member of the appeal procedure of the Privy Council, Judicial Committee.

In this context, article 11 can in no way be interpreted as a procedure of appeal.

The legal system comprises a Court of Appeal, a Supreme Court and a Magistrate's Court, with a final appeal procedure lying open to the Privy Council of the United Kingdom.

The civil liability of the latter came into play only through the very complicated procedure of appeal against judicial misconduct.
