The group agreed to include in the guidelines additional information on alternatives, including on awareness raising.

For the execution of its mandate, the Working Group itself draws up specific guidelines and procedures.

In its activities, the Committee would seek support of existing groups (the London Group on Environmental Accounting, the Intersecretariat Working Group on Environment Statistics, the Oslo Group on Energy Statistics and the Intersecretariat Working Group on Energy Statistics etc.).

An expert group meeting on cost accounting in Africa, organized with the African Council, took place in December at Yaoundé.

The Working Group is invited to use the annexed draft guidelines as a starting point to elaborate practical and concise guidelines for the protection of indigenous peoples' heritage.

The Expert Group agreed to highlight the links between that document and related issues in the guidelines.

The information centres also receive communications advisories, including media guidelines and other documents circulated by the Group.
