In Azerbaijan, a database of women in leadership positions was established and Maldives published a directory on women in leadership positions in Government.

However, the Special Rapporteur was informed that a number of persons who had held positions during the previous regime or persons belonging to rival groups have died in suspicious circumstances in the course of 1994.
