In consequence, bedoun were unable to claim full compensation, available to other claimants.

No compensation has been recommended for C7 Real Property losses where claimants fail to establish the fact of ownership.

Furthermore, claimants who filed more than one eligible claim within the bedoun programme will receive compensation only with respect to one of those claims.

In providing a fixed amount of compensation in the decision the Working Group notes that this amount may not necessarily provide the same compensation that the bedoun claimants could have received under the regular claims programme.

As at 31 July 2005, the Commission has awarded total compensation in the amount of 52,467,108,060 in respect of 1,550,871 claims of individuals, corporations and Governments, of which 19,368,255,376 has been made available for payment to successful claimants.

As a consequence of the consolidation of the new losses claimed by the individual claimants and the provision of evidence, the Panel recommends adjustments to the original awards resulting in a net increase in the amount of recommended compensation for the E4 claims.
