I. Right of appeal and review

The appeal review process is under way.

Sentences are subject to appeal or review before higher judicial bodies, which are entitled to cancel, amend or confirm them.

(d) Judicial review, a myth or reality?

23. Appeal and review should be permitted on the grounds laid down in the draft, and the right to lodge an appeal or apply for revision of a judgement should be granted not only to the accused but also to the prosecutor, in observance of the principle of the equality of the parties.

(m) In considering an appeal, the panel shall act with the maximum dispatch consistent with a fair review of the issues before it.
