Programmes are ongoing in the areas of cultural tourism, educational management training and for the establishment of a UNESCO national commission.

We would welcome the establishment, under the aegis of the United Nations, of a regional commission on Central Asia for the coordination of joint efforts in the fight against narcobusiness.

The first structured cooperation arrangements with a regional commission of the Economic and Social Council are being prepared with the Economic Commission for Africa.

We urge our neighbours to establish a regional committee, open to all countries of the Middle East region, to combine resources, efforts and expertise and present a unified front against drug abuse and its implications.
