(e) The continuing restrictions placed on the National League for Democracy and other political parties which prevented them from participating in the recently reconvened National Convention

In accordance with article 14 of the Convention, the costs of the next meeting of the States parties would be borne by the States parties and States not parties to the Convention participating in that meeting, in accordance with the United Nations scale of assessment, adjusted appropriately.

Following the adoption of the final report by the Credentials Committee, three additional States parties, namely Angola, Uruguay and Zambia, submitted their respective notifications of participation and requested inclusion on the list of States parties participating in the Conference.
