Forfeiture of assets of equivalent value

Forfeiture of the right to a will

The court may order forfeiture of assets

Part 8 deals with seizure and forfeiture property.

If the assets have been destroyed or damaged or rendered unserviceable, the court may order the forfeiture of assets of equivalent value along with the forfeiture of assets under Section 70, paragraph 1.

By 1879, English law began to distinguish between suicide and homicide, although suicide still resulted in forfeiture of estate.
