Opuzen () is a small town in Dubrovnik Neretva County in Croatia.

In 1979, the city of Dubrovnik joined the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.

These include major towns, such as Vukovar, Gospic, Osijek, Dubrovnik, Pakrac, Vinkovci, Sibenik, Zadar, etc.

According to CNNGo, Dubrovnik is among the 10 best preserved medieval walled cities in the world.

The next course would take place in September 1994, in the reconstructed Centre building in Dubrovnik.

In 2005 the International Academy of Mathematical Chemistry (IAMC) was founded in Dubrovnik (Croatia) by Milan Randić.

Furthermore, during July and August 1994 Bosnian Serb forces perpetrated bombardments on the Dubrovnik area of Croatia.

Serbian militias are heavily armed and are continuously shelling Croatian civilian targets, including the ancient coastal cities of Zadar, Sibenik and Dubrovnik.

The ancient cities of Dubrovnik, Zadar and Sibenik were heavily shelled and many priceless pieces of art have been lost to future generations.

47. On the basis of his findings, the Commission concluded that a useful on site investigation into these matters could be conducted in the Dubrovnik area.

I should like to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to UNESCO for the effort in reconstruction of Dubrovnik and other devastated sites on Croatian territory.

The only example of the complete withdrawal of regular JNA units that have relinquished control of the territory to the Croatian authorities occurred in the area surrounding Dubrovnik.

108. The programme of work of the Commission for the coming months includes the continuation of ongoing investigative missions to Zagreb, Sarajevo, Knin, Zadar, Pale, Zenica, Belgrade, Ahmici Vitez, Dubrovnik, etc.

In return, the Republic of Croatia would incorporate Neum and the Bosnian Serbs would give it some land that would widen its territory in the Dubrovnik area, thereby enhancing its security.

Therefore, the allegations that military actions around Bihać, Županja and Dubrovnik are being planned and coordinated in Belgrade with the participation of the units of the Army of Yugoslavia are absolutely absurd.

9. A programme for the socio economic recovery for the southern Dalmatian coast, particularly the area around Dubrovnik, has been prepared and an investment promotion exercise, together with UNIDO, is under consideration.

Hatred must give way to happy children apos s faces in reconstructed Croatian Vukovar, to the restored splendour of medieval Dubrovnik, to peaceful coexistence in long suffering and destroyed Sarajevo and Mostar.

During the reporting period ground handling costs were incurred not only at airports in the mission area (Zagreb, Belgrade, Split, Rijeka, Pula and Dubrovnik), but also at Geneva, Frankfurt, Venice, London and Brussels.

The attacks on Bihać, Županja and Dubrovnik clearly prove the Yugoslav Serbian side apos s utter disregard for borders between sovereign United Nations Member States, and specifically for those under temporary United Nations supervision.

This latter organization has prepared briefings and provided invaluable assistance to the Commission with certain exploratory missions, such as the one to Dubrovnik (20 22 May 1993) undertaken by the Rapporteur for on site investigations.

Ivan Asen II had sought to bolster the effectiveness of his state by providing for some level of administrative control and concluding a commercial treaty with the republic of Ragusa (modern Dubrovnik), a dependency of Venice.

36. Posavina and eastern Herzegovina. The Serb and Croat sides are still continuing to negotiate on the exact boundary between their republics in the north at Posavina along the Sava, and in the south above Dubrovnik.

The Trial Chamber found that it had not been established that Pavle Strugar was responsible under article 7 (1) of the statute for having ordered or aided and abetted the unlawful shelling of the Old Town of Dubrovnik.

These have included humanitarian convoys to Baghdad, the evacuation of 6,000 children from the besieged city of Dubrovnik in November December 1991 and the quot week of tranquillity quot and winter relief campaign in the former Yugoslavia in November 1992.

They desecrated and damaged this unique spiritual and cultural monument of the Serb people, with frescoes dating back to 1690, just as they desecrated and damaged the Serb Orthodox church in Dubrovnik, in which they set up their quarters on 2 October 1992.

46. From 20 to 22 May 1993, the Commission sent its Rapporteur for on site investigations to Dubrovnik to explore the possibility of an on site investigation into targeting, indiscriminate attacks, destruction of cultural property and quot ethnic cleansing quot in the area.

The Special Rapporteur has received complaints that two lawyers working together on numerous human rights cases in Dubrovnik were drafted into the Croatian Army in June and July 1994, allegedly for the express purpose of preventing them from pursuing their legal work.

75. The Commission will send missions to Vukovar and Dubrovnik to conduct battle studies in those areas, to investigate targeting practices, indiscriminate attacks against and mass killings of civilian population and damage to cultural property and to attempt to impute responsibility for prohibited acts.

The Inter University Centre for Postgraduate Studies of Dubrovnik, whose members were 230 universities from around the world, offered its regular course on the law of the sea at the Zagreb Law School (31 May 4 April 1993) with lecturers from Italy, Norway and Croatia.
