The commitment of Member States to ensuring adequate financial resources is of extreme importance.

UNSCR 1267 and its successor resolutions specifically require member States to freeze the assets of, and prohibit making funds or financial resources available to, the Taliban, Osama Bin Laden, al Qaeda and those associated with or owned or controlled by, directly or indirectly, them.
