I thought we'd better give them a breather here.

Over time, the grievances of minority groups over their being sidelined will necessarily seek an outlet.

But, with this exchange of visits, a wedge has been opened for dialogue on more neutral ground.

The Greek Cypriot administration, which was required to heed this call and take steps accordingly, has instead been pursuing an all out campaign in every forum against any effort aimed at giving Turkish Cypriots a breathing space.

These are times of iniquity and intransigence, terror and fear. Cries of distress can be heard from every home, cries that will not cease until all these territories have been liberated.
